Shatter is made from a piece of driftwood from Cornwall which was given to me by my close friend and fellow artist Ally D James. It was inspired after I dropped a bottle by accident on the kitchen floor, as I was picking up the fragments of glass I liked some of the shapes and decided to make a sculpture.
Each fragment in this work is inlaid with copper wire to represent the ring of light around each shard.

Shatter took six weeks to create.
